Appointment policy: To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Patient arrival policy: For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.  All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.  Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room

Flea free policy: Since fleas are annoying and transmit disease we strive to keep a flea free hospital.  If your pet is staying with us for the day or longer, and is found to have fleas we will give a capstar tablet or apply a tube of advantage at the normal cost to you.

Vaccination policy:  For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. We offer both one year and three year vaccine products.  We can also run vaccine titers and accept a positive titer as proof of vaccination.  *It is a state law that cats, dogs and ferrets be current on rabies vaccine*.  We highly recommend all new kitten and cats be tested for feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

Prescription Policy:  We stock most medications, diets and preventative prescription products.  We also have an on-line store for your convenience.  If, however, you decide that you would rather us write you a prescription for products please be aware of a few things.  We need a 24 hour notice to provide you a prescription.  It takes us time to look through your pets record and verify what is being requested.  We need to have seen your pet recently for health problems and within the last 12 months for the preventative products.  A heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia/anaplasma test is required yearly for heartworm preventatives not purchased through us or vet-centric (our on line store).  We reserve the right to charge a small fee for multiple prescriptons not written at the time of an appointment.
Payment Policy:
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, cash.  We are also now accepting Care Credit.
